Our Class Levels
Orientation:
This intro class is a 50 minute full body workout designed to teach you The fundamentals of Pilates. Clients will learn how to set up their machine, and how to use springs and straps correctly. In the best interest of your safety all new clients to our studio must take this class first, even if you have done Pilates prior to coming to Art of Pilates.
Level 1:
(An Orientation class is required before taking level 1 classes.)
Strengthen and tone the body while practicing the fundamentals of Pilates. Low impact exercises combine core, stabilization, strength, flexibility, balance and alignment with concepts like mindfulness and breathing. This fluid workout is ideal for all fitness levels and can be easily modified to meet each individual body.
New clients will take 5 -10 level 1 classes. Instructor approval is required to move on to level 2.
Level 2:
(Level 1 experience is required; ask your Instructor if you you are ready to move up)
This intermediate level includes level 1 and layers in progressions building on the fundamentals with more complex exercises including unilateral work. This is a more challenging and intense level class. This level must be mastered before going on to Level 3.
Level 3:
(Level 2 experience is required; ask your instructor if you are ready to move up.)
Teacher approved, Level 3 is a more challenging and faster-paced class with advanced exercises incorporating whole body movement through training stability and mobility, functional movement patterns, challenging load and resistance and coordinating complex movements.
